UMPIRING
At SNA our umpire mentors are a support network for you to begin your journey in umpiring.
Our umpire mentors will provide you with hands on learning where you will umpire competitions of various age groups and standards, which allow you to develop numerous umpiring techniques and gain a sound understanding of the rules of netball.
Sunbury Netball Association offers training, support and guidance for those seeking to obtain their C and B grade badges.
Sunbury Netball Association has provision to offer umpire pathways to the Netball Victoria B Grade Squad and providing opportunities to travel with our Sunbury Netball Squad to umpire Association tournaments.
How to become an umpire:

1. Register as a Netball Victoria member
2. Purchase a copy/download and read through the 2020 offical rules of netball.

3. Enrol and complete the rules of netball theory exam.
​​
​
​
4. Enrol and complete the foundation umpire course.
​
​
5. Email your certificates through to sunbury.netball@gmail.com and ask to be put on the wait list for the next beginner umpire workshop.
